How guest upload works for flea markets

Snapr makes guest upload for your flea market simple and effortless. Create an event in seconds, get a unique QR code, and share it with your guests. They scan the code and upload photos directly — no app download needed.

Guest upload is the core of Snapr: a guest points their phone camera at your QR code, the upload page opens in the browser, and they pick photos from the camera roll or shoot a new one. No app, no account, no password — the link itself is the access.

Everything is included in the free tier: up to 200 photos, live slideshow, QR code, and 14-day storage. Need more? Premium keeps the photos a full year, with original-quality downloads and unlimited uploads, for a one-time payment.

Setting up Guest Upload

  1. 1Create the event and open the guest link — it carries a guest key, so print or display the whole QR code, not a shortened address you typed from memory.
  2. 2Put the QR code where people already look: table cards, the bar, the back of the menu, and as an overlay on the big screen.
  3. 3A guest scans and gets two buttons — Camera opens the phone camera for a new photo, Choose from gallery opens the camera roll (and is the only way in for video).
  4. 4They select up to 20 files at a time and press upload; each file shows its own progress bar, and successful ones appear in the live slideshow within seconds.

Guest Upload — the specifics

What the guest needs
A phone with a camera and a browser. No app install, no signup, no login.
Accepted file types
JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP4, MOV. The extension has to match the file's real type — a renamed file is rejected.
Max per file
100 MB. Checked in the browser before the upload starts and again in the storage rules.
Files per selection
20. Pick more and only the first 20 are queued — select again for the rest.
Free plan ceiling
200 files, for 14 days. Counted per event, across all guests.
Premium ceiling
Unlimited files, original-quality downloads and 1 year of storage. One-time 199 NOK, and it applies to photos already uploaded.

When something goes wrong

A guest's upload stalls or fails in a venue with poor mobile coverage.

Each file uploads on its own, so the ones that got through are safe — only the red ones failed. Have them move toward a window or onto the venue Wi-Fi, then pick the failed files again and upload in batches of three or four instead of twenty.

"Unsupported file type" on a file that is obviously a photo.

Snapr accepts JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP4 and MOV, and checks that the extension matches the actual file. Screenshots edited in a third-party app, or a file someone renamed by hand, are the usual culprits — re-save or re-export it from the phone's own photo app and try again.

Uploads stop mid-party with a limit message.

The event hit its 200-file limit. The host upgrades from the event page for a one-time 199 NOK, which lifts the same event to unlimited files immediately; guests just press upload again.

What it is not good for

It is not a private album per guest: everyone with the QR code uploads into the same gallery and sees everything in it, and a guest cannot delete a photo once it has gone up — only the host can.

Frequently Asked Questions

What guests and hosts ask about most.

How can Snapr be used at a flea market?
Put the QR code up at the entrance or on tables so visitors and sellers can scan it and upload photos of standout finds, busy stalls, and the community atmosphere. Everything shows up live on a screen, which also helps draw more people in as they walk by.
Can sellers use Snapr to show off items for sale?
Snapr isn't a sales listing tool, but sellers and organizers can absolutely snap photos of tables and items and add them to the shared gallery, giving the market a lively, documented feel and helping promote it afterward on social media.
What does Snapr cost for a flea market?
The free plan includes 200 photos, a live slideshow, and 14-day storage, which works well for a single-day flea market. For a bigger event with more visitors, Premium is a one-time payment of around 199 NOK for unlimited photos and 1 year of storage.
