How to get started

Three steps, no app and no sign-up.

  1. 1

    Create event

Name your event and get a unique QR code in seconds.

  2. 2

    Share QR code

Display the QR code or print it. Guests scan with their phones.

  3. 3

    Watch photos live

Photos appear on the big screen in real-time as guests upload.

How photo sharing works with Snapr

After scanning the QR code a guest lands on an upload page in the phone's browser: one button opens the camera, the other picks from the gallery, up to 20 files per go. The files join the event's shared collection and appear on the big screen.

Snapr makes photo sharing simple. Create an event, get a QR code, and share it with guests. They scan and upload directly from their phones — no app needed. All photos are automatically collected and displayed in real-time.

You get full control: choose display mode, adjust speed, and download every photo in one click, and keep them a full year with premium. Perfect for weddings, birthdays, corporate parties, confirmations and any occasion where photos need to be shared.

Setting up Photo Sharing

  1. 1Decide the plan before the party, not during it: 200 files on the free plan, unlimited on Premium. The guest page counts down the remaining slots, and when they run out uploading simply stops.
  2. 2Tell guests which button to use — 'Open camera' shoots straight into the event, 'Choose from gallery' picks photos they already took. Most people default to the gallery and forget the camera button exists.
  3. 3Watch the gallery in the dashboard during the evening and delete the obvious duplicates and blurry shots; on a free event the 200 slots go faster than anyone expects once the dancing starts.
  4. 4Download everything before the event expires — Premium gives you a full year and a ZIP of the whole event from the dashboard. A free event is gone 14 days after it was created.

Photo Sharing — the specifics

File types accepted
JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP4 and MOV. Both the file type and the extension are checked, so a renamed file is rejected rather than uploaded broken.
Maximum per file
100 MB. A phone photo is 2–5 MB, so this only bites on video — roughly a minute or two of 4K.
Video length
The event setting allows up to 10 minutes, but the 100 MB cap is what stops long clips first. Short clips of 10–30 seconds are what actually work on a slideshow.
Limit for the whole event
200 files on the free plan, unlimited files on Premium (199 kr, one payment). A 200-guest wedding usually lands well inside either.
Who can see what
Guests see only their own upload queue — there is no gallery on the guest page. Everything shows on the big screen, and the full gallery with delete and download sits in the host's dashboard.
How long it stays
14 days from creation on the free plan, 365 days on Premium. Premium also unlocks a ZIP download of the whole event.

When something goes wrong

An iPhone guest gets 'unsupported file type' on photos that look perfectly normal.

The phone is saving in HEIC. Either switch Settings → Camera → Formats to 'Most Compatible', or have them use the camera button on the upload page instead — that path hands over a JPEG.

The upload bar crawls or stalls halfway.

Venue wifi with 80 phones on it is usually slower than mobile data. Have the guest turn wifi off and upload over 4G/5G, and keep the screen awake until every file has a green tick — a locked phone pauses the browser.

Guests upload, then ask where their photos went.

There is no gallery on the guest page, only their own queue, and that surprises people. Point them at the big screen: uploads show up there within seconds, and that is the confirmation they are looking for.

What it is not good for

It is not a shared album or a backup: guests cannot browse or remove what anyone else posted, and a free event's files are deleted 14 days after creation — so it should never be the only copy of a photo that matters.
