What is QR code photo sharing?
A way to collect photos from everyone at an event. The host creates an event and gets a QR code. Guests scan it with the phone camera, a web page opens, and they upload photos and videos. Everything lands in one private gallery, and on tools with a live slideshow, on a screen at the venue.
How long does it take to set up?
About two minutes. Name the event, download the QR code, print it or show it on a screen.
Can I set it up weeks before the wedding?
Yes. Create the event whenever you like and print the code for the invitations. On Snapr the free plan's storage window runs from creation, so create it close to the day or upgrade to Premium for a year.
How does Snapr work?

Do guests need to download an app?
No! Snapr works entirely in the web browser. Guests simply scan the QR code and can immediately start uploading photos - no app download required.

Yes! You can create a free event with up to 200 photos, live slideshow, and 14-day storage. Premium ($19) keeps them for a full year, with original-quality downloads and unlimited uploads.
What is the cheapest wedding photo sharing app?
For a paid plan, Snapveil at €9.90 (2,000 photos, one year, no live slideshow). For unlimited uploads with a live slideshow, Snapr at $19 once. Free plans exist at Snapveil (250 photos), Snapr (200 uploads with the slideshow), Kululu (100 uploads, 7 days) and, at 50 uploads each, LensGo, Guestpix, Wedibox, Digipic and Snaplet. GuestCam, Easy Wedding Album, PartyCam and Momentshare have no free plan.
Which wedding photo apps store photos in the EU?
LensGo (Frankfurt), Snapveil (Germany), Digipic (EU/EEA) and Momentshare's paid plans state EU storage on their sites. Snapr stores photos in the EU, GDPR-compliant. The others do not state a location on their pricing pages.
Do I need an account to set one up?
With every tool here except Snapr, yes. Snapr lets you create the event and get the QR code without an account; you make one later to claim the event and keep it reachable from other devices.
How does QR code photo sharing work at a wedding?
You print the QR code on table cards or a sign, or show it on the slideshow screen. Guests point the phone camera at it, a web page opens, they pick photos and upload. The photos appear in your gallery and, with a live slideshow, on the TV or projector within seconds. Afterwards you download everything in one file.

Do guests need an app?
No. The QR code opens a web page in the phone's browser. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
Will older guests manage?
If they can take a photo, yes. Scanning a QR code is built into every phone camera. The upload page has one button.
Can guests upload video?
On Snapr, yes, on every plan. Files up to 25 MB, MP4 and MOV.
Can guests see each other's photos?
They see the live slideshow at the venue. The gallery itself is for the host, who can share the link with whoever they want.
Price and plans
How much does it cost?
Snapr: free for 200 uploads, $19 once for unlimited uploads and a year of storage. Other tools charge from $29 to $99 once, or price by guest count. See the cost guide for every tool.
Is it a subscription?
Not on Snapr. One payment per event, nothing to cancel. A few other vendors sell permanent storage as a yearly subscription.
Can I upgrade after the party?
On Snapr, yes, any time before the free plan's deletion date. Everything already uploaded comes with it.
What happens after 14 days?
On a free event the photos are deleted automatically. With Premium they are kept for a full year from the purchase.
Is this a subscription?
No. Premium is paid once, for one event. There is nothing to cancel.
How many guests can join?
As many as you like, on both plans. The free limit is on uploads, not on people.
Privacy and storage
Who can see the photos?
Only people with the link or the QR code. The gallery is not indexed by search engines and is never shared on.
Where are the photos stored?
Snapr stores photos in the EU, GDPR-compliant. LensGo, Snapveil and Digipic state EU storage. Most other vendors do not say.
What happens to the photos afterwards?
On Snapr's free plan they are deleted after 14 days. On Premium they are kept a year, and you can download everything as one file at any time.
Can I delete a photo a guest uploaded?
Yes. The host can delete any photo from the dashboard, and it disappears from the slideshow at once.
Can I print the QR code?
Yes. Download it as a PNG from the event page and put it on place cards, posters or signs.

How do I show the photos on a TV?
Open the slideshow on a laptop and connect it to the TV or projector with an HDMI cable, or cast it with Chromecast from the dashboard. New photos appear within seconds.
Does the QR code show on the screen?
On Snapr, yes, in a corner of the slideshow, so guests who missed the table card can still join.
What if the venue wifi is bad?
The slideshow needs one stable connection, for the laptop or the Chromecast. Guests upload over their own mobile data; a weak signal means a photo arrives a little later, not never.
